EvidenceGrid helps researchers turn selected PDFs into source-linked literature review matrices. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the service.
Information we collect
We collect account information such as your email address and, when you use Google sign-in, basic profile information provided by Google. We also process the workspaces, research questions, PDFs, reference files, extraction fields, reviewer decisions, exports, and synthesis content you submit. When you connect Zotero or Notion, we store the provider account identifier, workspace name, encrypted authorization tokens, and export timestamps needed to deliver the requested integration.
Operational records may include feature events, job status, error details, storage use, token use, model cost, browser type, IP address, and request timestamps. These records support security, reliability, abuse prevention, and service limits.
How we use information
We use information to authenticate users, store private workspaces, process PDFs, generate and repair evidence-linked extractions, create reviewed synthesis, provide exports, enforce usage limits, send account messages, investigate failures, and improve the service.
Service providers
EvidenceGrid uses Supabase for authentication, database, and private file storage; Vercel for application hosting; DeepSeek for AI-assisted extraction and synthesis; Resend for account email delivery; and Google when you choose Google sign-in. If you explicitly connect them, Zotero or Notion receives the workspace material you choose to send. Document text and extraction instructions may be sent to DeepSeek to provide requested AI features.
We do not sell personal information or use research content for targeted advertising.
Storage and retention
Uploaded PDFs and workspace data remain available until you delete the paper or workspace, subject to operational backups and security retention. Usage, error, and account records may be retained for as long as reasonably needed to operate the service, meet legal obligations, prevent abuse, and resolve disputes.
Security
We use access controls, private object storage, encrypted network connections, and account-level authorization. No online service can guarantee complete security, so you should avoid uploading information that is not necessary for your research workflow.
Your choices
You can delete individual papers and workspaces in EvidenceGrid. Connected Zotero and Notion accounts can be disconnected from the export menu, which removes the stored authorization and requests provider revocation. You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of account information by contacting us. You can also disconnect Google access from your Google Account settings.
Children
EvidenceGrid is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
